Thank you CMA and CMAEF supporters
It was wonderful to see so many CMA members and CMA EF supporters at the picnic on July 11. Thank you to all who purchased 50-50 raffle tickets in support of the CMA Education Foundation internship stipend program. We were able to raise $2,842 for internship stipends and Jonathon Dowsett was the lucky winner who took home half. A student intern, Jackson Van Gelder purchased a $5 ticket and went home with a speaker valued at $100 and a beach tote. Thanks to Diana Esteves of Charles Weber, and Malcolm Blackwell, a former intern and scholarship award winner, who helped sell raffle tickets. Thanks to Charles Weber and Todd McKenna of Old School Bunker Brokers for donating prizes. We appreciate you.
Many of the students we have supported have spent the summer at internships or sailing on training cruises. Some are packing for colleges or enroute to them. These students and more still need our help. Tax deductible donations can be made on our website www.cma-edu.org, when renewing your CMA membership or by mail.
I hope summer has given you time to do the things you love with the people you love. As Labor Day weekend nears, may you have time to recharge for the busy fall ahead whether it’s back to school or back to work.
