“To be inspirational you don’t have to save lives or win medals. I often draw strength from meeting ordinary people doing extraordinary things: volunteers, careers, community organizers and good neighbors; unsung heroes whose quiet dedication makes them special. They are an inspiration to those who know them.”
–Queen Elizabeth
With the passing of Queen Elizabeth and the 21st anniversary of 9/11, it has been a reflective few days filled with many visual images related to both events. From the loss of a woman of grace, dignity, and unwavering commitment to service and duty, to the remembrance of those who tragically lost their lives in the attacks and those who died in service and duty trying to help. Perhaps the gorgeous images of the recent Harvest moon, a sunrise and or that double rainbow over Buckingham Palace reminds us that each day is a new opportunity to serve, to love, to inspire, to make a difference.
For all those who serve and support the CMA Education Foundation through giving of your time, talent, or much needed financial support, you are inspiring others, making a difference in the lives of students, and supporting the future of the maritime industry. Please donate at www.cma-edu.org, host an intern, or volunteer to mentor.
